Privacy Policy

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address, a username, and a display name. Artists additionally provide audio source URLs for their music.

Usage data. We record play counts, song likes, follows, and listener interactions (shoutouts, dedications, song requests) that you submit through the platform.

Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers or CVVs.

Communications. If you contact us, we keep records of that correspondence.

Automatically collected data. Our hosting infrastructure may log IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and operational purposes.

• To operate the platform and provide the radio service
• To process subscription payments and manage billing
• To verify your account via email or SMS
• To generate AI DJ commentary about your music (artist display name and song title only — source URLs are never shared)
• To enforce our content policies and investigate reports
• To communicate platform updates, billing notices, and content alerts
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents

Audio source URLs uploaded by artists are stored server-side and are never exposed to listeners or third parties. All audio requests are routed through a signed-token proxy at groovequake.fm/api/audio/[id]. The real URL never leaves our servers.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
• Stripe — payment processing
• ElevenLabs — AI voice generation for DJ content (receives only script text, no user data)
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI script generation for DJ content (receives only song titles and artist names)
• Cloudinary — image hosting for cover art and avatars

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate fraud-prevention purposes.

Song records are retained indefinitely in anonymised form after account deletion for the integrity of play history and chart records.

Live chat messages are automatically purged on a short rolling schedule.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

We use cookies and similar technologies only for session authentication and to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Groovequake is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
